“I held my 70th Birthday dinner at Verzon House on November 23rd 2024. There were 60 guests. It took a great deal of planning especially as the dining room usually holds 55 maximum but Kate Chase and her team were very accommodating. From inception to delivery the whole process was extremely efficient and good-humoured with great attention to detail. The event turned out to be a memorable occasion with the famous warm Verzon atmosphere immediately making everyone feel at home. There was plenty of space for the champagne reception and the serving staff melted into the background as they should.. The meal was a tour-de force, beautiful food served per table plan again with quiet gentle efficiency. There were no last minute problems apart from a table-move to help waitress access performed with no show or drama. Small details like making a TV available for remotely accessed speeches and playing my playlist were arranged easily. Nothing was too much trouble. The Verzon team are exceptional and I cannot recommend them to others more highly. And to boot the price for perfection too was very reasonable” Tim Barling November 2024

Overlooking the dramatic Malvern hills is our beautiful veranda – protected from the elements and featuring heaters to keep you cosy all year round.
Our bar is also open daily, with a selection of inventive cocktails, hot and cold drinks, nibbles and the occasional light bites.

We were three old friends dining together to celebrate a big birthday. Although it was a quiet Tuesday evening in the restaurant, the atmosphere of the room was still cosy and warm, and we had a great time. The food was sublime, and the waiting staff really attentive and helpful – recommending things from the menu/ wines we might enjoy. We will be back!

Amazing hotel, friendly staff!
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after a fire broke out in our building, have to say this is one of the best hotels i’ve ever stayed at. food is lovely, staff are wonderful and the garden is gorgeous and amazing for kids! special shout out to Lauren, Sky and Ellie for being so kind to us during our stay. there was also another lady who was brilliant but unsure of her name! 5 out 5 stars!!– June 2024. Herefordshire’s best hotel, by far
Easily the best hotel in Herefordshire. We’ve stayed in quite a few hotels over the past 12 months, and Verzon House is head and shoulders above the rest. All the rooms are spacious, individually styled, super comfy beds, smart modern bathrooms. The bar is warm and intimate, the terrace and deck looking towards the Malvern Hills, and the restaurant is understandably packed over the weekend – and certainly worth going just for the breakfast. East to get to – plenty of parking. But one of the things we most love (whether that’s when it’s just my wife and me, or when we’ve had our teenage son staying with us) is the wonderful team that work for owner Kate. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed anywhere where the welcome has been warmer and more personal. 100 per cent recommend to anyone travelling in this area, or to locals for food and drinks. Beautiful bar and restaurant, excellent service. Great open fire to relax and enjoy a good wine. Romantic. Good menu, amazing soufflé and gorgeous fish pie. Highly recommend The Verzon. Wonderful venue for any party.

Celebration / Birthday
Could not fault anything. The food was outstanding, the management and staff were excellent; even helping out with a birthday cake that had collapsed on the drive there. My parents had never been before and thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely go back again.

The most fabulous Christmas lunch!
A group of us visited for our work Christmas lunch last week and what an exceptional experience we had from the moment we walked in the door. The food was exquisite as were the attentive staff! The food was made from fresh and local produce and tasted as delicious as it looked. Looking forward to rebooking soon.
