Verzon House

Verzon House was built in 1790 as an elegant farm house. In April 2007 it was purchased by Audrey and Peter Marks who offer you the warmest of welcomes at this unique country house. The hotel is situated in the heart of rural Herefordshire, with unprecedented views over an unspoilt country landscape stretching as far as the Malvern Hills.  On a fine day the Brasserie Terrace it is a wonderful place to relax with a morning coffee, afternoon tea, lunch, dinner or just a casual drink.

Verzon House stands in its own grounds of some 5 acres and is situated just 2 miles from the charming market town of Ledbury with its fine XIII century buildings and exceptional church.  In the winding cobbled streets you will find interesting boutiques and many novelty shops. Apart from its warm, relaxing and friendly atmosphere, it is the perfect base from which to visit the historic City of Hereford and the beautiful surrounding countryside with all its hidden villages and is the ideal centre for day trips to Wales and the Cotswolds.

The Editor of the Good Hotel Guide, Desmond Balmer, wrote in the Observer Newspaper that Verzon House was one of his favourite finds in his list of 20 top UK hotels and places to stay.
